Driver (Permanent) – Lusk

The Role:

Our Resource Recovery Business Unit currently wish to recruit a driver . The role will report to Site Manager.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following;

  • The collection of various waste streams from multiple customer locations across the route network
  • Responsible for operatives while on the run, ensuring work is completed in a safe and professional manner
  • Completing route sheets as well as vehicle safety checks on a daily basis

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • 1-2 years’ experience within the Waste Management/Logistics industry
  • Experience of Hook, Skip or RCV desirable
  • Must have a C licence plus a Digital Driving Card and CPC card
  • C+E licence is desirable.
  • A good understanding of the waste industry
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Have a high degree of commitment and exhibit the initiative necessary to succeed in a competitive market environment.
  • Team player with ability to work on their own initiative
  • Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas
  • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem solving skills
