The Role:
Our IT Support Function currently wish to recruit an IT Business Relationship Manager. This role will report to the Business Applications & Engagement Manager.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Build and manage the business relationship to ensure IT is trusted and respected within the business. Understand business strategies and capabilities, both current and future. Identify gaps and opportunities for value creation.
- Understand IT technology sufficiently to communicate complexity in meaningful terms to the business. Understand the business sufficiently to communicate to IT the importance of the business from an Operations and Project perspective. Document business requirements.
- Liaise with the Architecture & Applications teams to find strategic solutions. Understand market and technology trends, co-ordinate roadmap development and sequencing of IT solutions. Assist in business case creation activities.
- Manage IT process integration within the business for Risk Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, User Management & Training, Project Management.
- Manage the IT Service Level Agreements and be the IT lead on business projects. Scope, manage & deliver mini projects to the Business.
- Liaise with the Support Desk on high priority issues. Review last period/calls/fix rates. Monitor issues & recurring problems.
- Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s objectives.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Honours degree in IT or similar qualification;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Team player with ability to work on their own initiative;
- Excellent communication skills are essential for the role;
- Proficiency in the English language is a requirement, alongside eligibility to work in Ireland;
- A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem solving skills.
