Water Supply Project

As the long-term population of Ireland continues to grow, especially in the Dublin and Mid East regions, new water supply infrastructure is needed. A critical part of this new infrastructure will be a large reservoir planned for construction in the midlands. The proposed reservoir will store some of the winter flood water from the River Shannon. The water will then be treated and piped to the Dublin and Midland region communities.
