Working as part of Powergen allows Energy Performance Contracting to make the most of established strengths in areas such as project management, engineering, powergen operations and maintenance, and fuel acquisition and handling, in order to augment the EPC product offering. Significant progress has been made in 2010/11, in identifying stakeholders who have an interest in the energy performance concept and in the ESCO (Energy Supply & Service Company) business model.
We are working closely with a number of potential clients across commercial, industrial and residential sectors, who are familiarising themselves with what is a developing model in Ireland and mainland Europe. Over the last year Energy Performance Contracting has secured preferred bidder status for a prestigious project on the island of Ireland, while also realising a new build ESCO opportunity.
