In 2015, Michael Heneghan journeyed to Uganda with a charity called Nurture Africa

The Irish charity was set up to help support Ugandan children that are infected by, or affected by HIV. Nurture Africa provide access to free quality healthcare, education and provide support and guidance in the building of sustainable livelihoods. During his time in Uganda, Michael was involved in a number of activities; library outreach, construction, basic first aid training, business visits and home visits.

Daniel Conville ran a marathon to raise funds for Temple Street Children's Hospital

When Daniel’s daughter Gemma was born she had a condition called C-Cam. Against the odds, the care given to Gemma at Temple Street Children’s Hospital means she can now live life without a care in the world. To show appreciation, and to help raise much needed funds for improvements, Daniel has made a commitment to continue raising funds for this great cause.

The majority of people taking part in the event were doing it for charity. A “Runamuck” event means running, sitting, sliding, jumping down river banks, over bails and into pools of mud.
