Our Land & Habitats Business currently has a need for Programme Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Boora / Newbridge office and will report to the Head of the Business.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • Establish Portfolio Governance ensuring that Land and Habitats project portfolio aligns with the strategic goals and objectives through establishing project selection criteria, assessing the value and feasibility of proposed projects, and monitoring portfolio performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Implement comprehensive Programme and Project management methodologies and coordinate across Natural Resources Services, Trials and Operational teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy and business objectives, ensuring effective risk management practices and contingency planning
  • Lead the assessment, development and implementation of Land and Habitats service delivery models, process improvements and implementation of new technologies collaborating and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver value for the business.
  • Developing and executing strategies to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities that align with Land & Habitats’ strategy and maximise commercial growth
  • Manage business development opportunities to ensure alignment with common strategic goals for Bord Na Mona group Performance management
  • Leadership and management of Business Unit to effectively organise resources, develop talent, enhance skills and capabilities and instil a high-performance culture
  • Developing and maintaining a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish appropriate KPIs to measure function and individual performance
  • Delivery of the Peatlands Climate Action Scheme project (PCAS), National Parks & Wildlife Services contracts, Midlands Trials network project (Connect) & other projects
  • Reviewing and assess the current service delivery models to identify areas for transformation and opportunities for alternative delivery models that drive cost efficiencies and provide value to Bord na Mona
  • All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.
  • Lead and Performance Manage your direct report(s). Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to
    ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s objectives

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Level 8+ qualification in a property, business, engineering, finance or other relevant discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project & PowerPoint
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop mitigation plans. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on project delivery and attention to detail. 
  • Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to drive projects to successful completion. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships. 
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a willingness to work collaboratively with others.
