Exercise is an important part of physical and mental health, for this reason Bord na Móna is a happy to offer this scheme to any employee that wishes to take part. The scheme gives employees the opportunity to purchase a bicycle from one of the participating cycle stores. A bicycle and accessories can be bought up to the value of €1000, savings are made through a tax exemption on the purchase. This exemption means a considerable saving for employees. The purchase is made by Bord na Móna through an easy to follow process and the cost is deducted from the employees payroll net tax over a maximum period of 12 months. Staff who wish to avail of this scheme just need to contact their HR officer to get the process started. Employees that take part in the Cycle to Work Scheme can avail of it again after a five year period.
