Bord na Móna Growise Brightens up Bloom

Bord na Móna Growise has secured a Silver Medal at this year’s Bloom festival.

For the 8th consecutive year, Bord na Móna Growise were once again proud sponsors of compost and bark at Bloom in the Park festival from Thursday 29 May to Monday 2 June 2014.

Bord na Móna Growise teamed up with Kildare Growers and The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation, Crumlin, to create a Charity Garden at this year’s Bloom festival in Phoenix Park, winning a Silver Medal in the Large Garden category.

Situated in a prime location, the design featured a contemporary garden incorporating the concept of a refuge / sunken bolt–hole or retreat to escape the often difficult daily grind that patients face.

The essence of the concept was the delicacy and fragility of life and the coming together to support, with the initiative raising much-needed awareness for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

“It’s a pleasure to team up with Bord na Móna Growise and The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation, Crumlin for this wonderful Charity Garden experience at Bloom,” Kieran Dunne of Kildare Growers said.

“The garden was a great initiative for the hospital to garner some support and for us at Kildare Growers to show off our talents.”
