Bord na Móna’s Lough Boora Discovery Park was a big winner at the second Irish Hospitality Awards 2018 took place at the Crowne Plaza in Dublin this week.
The ever- popular Offaly tourist attraction won the Best Entertaining Team category. The discovery park also took home one of the two highly commended awards for Best Day Out.
Lough Boora Manager, Tom Egan, was present on the night to accept the awards on behalf of Bord na Móna. Speaking at the event Tom said “Everyone at the park is delighted to win this award. In a way it is not a surprise as when we run an event we get fantastic feedback about Lough Boora across social media be it Facebook or Twitter or Instagram and others. Congratulations are due to everybody who makes Lough Boora event days special from the team here to the thousands who turn up to enjoy themselves.”
The Irish Hospitality Awards 2018 are a celebration of the success of Irish hospitality and tourism establishments. The winners are a true reflection of high standard and customer service as they are chosen by members of the general public.
Lough Boora Discovery Park is also nominated as a finalist in the Tourism Destination section in Inaugural Radio 3 awards to be Held in Park Hotel on 21st May.
